We at World of Ed have been attending the Polish Festival for a number of years now. Being of Polish descent, it is fun to participate in the event. There is always great food, good people, and entertaining times. This year, we stepped up the game, taking out an advertisement in the brochure and sponsorship of the festival. We got the submissions made early and eagerly counted down the days to it.
With the recent bout of sciatica, the drive over was still painful. I parked in an adjacent neighborhood as the festival is quite busy and parking is at a premium. I walked over and got myself in. The first thing that I did was to find the ad. I was able to find them at the raffle booth and was happy and proud to have a few copies and to support such a great event. I wanted to make sure that I had some clean copies to show to others so I walked back to the car to safely store them.
I headed back in and was able to grab some food and check out some of the dancing, events, and other vendors. At this point, I had been there for about an hour and was in a lot of pain. I knew that I still had a 25 minute ride home which would just make things worse. As much as I did not want to leave, I had to. Many thanks to Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish for sponsoring the event again and I look forward to it in 2025.
