One Last Trip To Prescott - March 2024

Paula is a very influential person in my life. When I got my first real role at PetSmart, she basically became my IT mom. She and I connected and she spent a lot of time teaching me the ropes and helping me to advance myself. I would not be in the position that I am without her. She retired a while back to Prescott and was now looking to move out of state. We aligned on getting in at least one last hang while she was here.

The sciatica at this point was debilitating. I could not move without extreme pain and I knew I could not drive up, hang, and drive back in a day. I booked in at the Hampton Inn for Friday night. I got off work and made my way north. I stopped briefly at a truck stop to stretch and eat. I got to the hotel and dropped my things and stretched. I then headed out to Target to grab a few things. I also found a cool card store in the same plaza to scope out. All of this said, I was in Prescott and asleep by 10:30.

I got up early and gathered my things. I headed into town and met Paula at Farm Provisions. This was her choice and as always, a great one. We caught up on life as I squirmed in my chair. We wrapped the meal and headed over to Superstition Meadery. We've been here on every trip and needed to make sure that we got another time in. We spent another hour or so just talking and hanging out.

With that, the hang came to an end. We said goodbye and parted ways. I've always enjoyed hanging with her and the trips here to hang out. I hope this isn't the last time, but if it was, it was a great one.
