Checking Out The Boulders Resort In Scottsdale

I wanted to get a small break from things after a hectic start to the year. There are a number of places that I have wanted to try locally, but the Boulders Resort always kept coming up. I figured I would give it a shot and see how it was. I got the night booked and got ready for a nice overnight trip to check It out.

I took Friday off and made a bit of a lazy day of it. I slept in some, ran a couple of errands, and finished getting everything ready for the stay. I tossed everything in the car and made my way over to Scottsdale. I took a path that went out of the way. I hit up a few stores on the way over to check them out and Home Depot to look for a few things that I needed for the house. I got over to the property, finally found the right entrance, and got to the checkin.

The property does not have roads so I had to valet the car. It made its way to a lower parking lot. I got checked in and was taken by a golf cart to my casita. The room itself was pretty nice, but I thought it lacked some functionality. A concrete sofa was built into the wall on a curve that faced away from the entertaining area. The room setup had a couple of small chairs in the middle and the bed on the far end. The TV was on the opposite wall of the bed and a little difficult to see. The bathroom was huge and well appointed. There's a lot of space in it, but it felt underutilized. The closet was fantastic. I got my stuff settled in the room and decided to head out and grab some food.

I walked back to the car which I had access to. I headed off property and hit a few stores up the road. I grabbed a burrito to bring back and a couple of drinks from the store. I got back on property, parked for the night, and walked back to the room. My room was on the golf course, so I sat on the patio, ate my dinner, and had a drink. There was no real plan for the day so I just lounged around for a bit. Once it got a little darker, I went out for a 30 min walk of the trails around the property to check it all out. It was nice and I enjoyed it. I headed back to the room and decided to just grab some extra rest.

I woke up early on Saturday. The paths around the property are golf cart accessible only. The LPG carts started going by around 6am to prep rooms and get ahead of checkout. They were louder than expected. I tried to block it out and got a little more sleep. I finally got up for the day and packed up my things. I took a walk to the car with all of it, walked back to the room, hung out for another 10 minutes, and then checked out.

I enjoyed the time that I was there and got to relax. I'd give it another shot in the future but would want to try another room type.
